U.S. astronaut Scott Kelly broke the record for the most time spent in space this week after spending 340 consecutive days on the International Space Station (ISS). Kelly and his crewmate, Russian cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko, were on a research mission to help scientists better understand how human bodies react and adapt to long spaceflights.
